Mexico IS a different place. It is not the Southwestern US. This is a blog about our lives here in The Lakeside area of Ajijic and Chapala, Jalisco, Mexico since we retired here in September of 2010. It will be about daily/weekly things we experience along with occasional trips.

Puzzle from Hell
Most of you know that Carole enjoys doing jig saw puzzles (rompecabezas--rompe, to break, to smash plus cabezas which is the plural of head, thus, to break heads). This 500 piece puzzle is truly a rompecabezas! It is obviously yellow, it has a very repetitive design and it has small tight interlocking pieces that can easily be placed incorrectly. Ahh but wait, there´s more. It is printed on the back side with exactly the same design, but rotated 90 degrees! In order to successfully complete the puzzle, the picture must be correct on both sides! Carole finally finished it and still has hair. This puzzle was lent to us by my medical insurance agent...great customer care, yes?
