I've come across this moth twice since I've been here. It's about 4" (10.2 cm) from tip to tip! From pictures on the web, it's prettier than it looks. I think that this one is old. This one was on the ground next to my driver side front tire when I had just parked in the carport. I'm glad that I didn't run it over!The birds continue to be a joy as we hear them all the time when we are on the terrace. The hillsides and the property in front of us and all along the carretera are ugly, brown and dry from no rain. We drive by fields that are growing "something" and i don't see any irrigation even though we are so close to the lake...hmmm...
